United Parents Statement regarding the vote on Veto for the Organization and Financing of Education (ZOFVI-L) bill in the National Council.
We are expressing our satisfaction that the Members of the National Council of Slovenia voted YES for veto on ZOFVI-L with 17 votes for and 13 against by this they are showing a great support to the arguments of both civilian initiatives and the opinions of all legal institutions saying that the ZOFVI bill is considered unconstitutional.
The vote for the bill of ZOFVI-L is now returning to the National Assembly again, but this time the proposers will have to collect 46 votes of deputies (absolute majority) for its approval. At the last voting, they collected 42 yes votes.
The vote in National Assembly will take place on this Thursday, July 18, 2019.
